From a small workshop in the 1970s to exporting to various countries today. Here’ s how we built a proudly Malaysian chocolate brand

How It All Started

Our founder, Mr. Ng Tuck Ming, learned the chocolate business from the ground up. He started in Singapore at the Allied Chocolate Factory, which was one of the first chocolate factory in Southeast Asia.

He spent years mastering the process. By 1973, he knew it was time to take the next step, so he built his very own manufacturing plant.

Making Malaysia Our Home

In 1999, Mr. Ng made a bold move. During the Asian Financial Crisis, he relocated the entire factory to Kuala Lumpur. He foresaw that Asia was fast becoming the major centre for chocolate manufacturing.

Upon completion of our relocation, we started trying bold ideas. Becoming one of the first company to manufacture real durian chocolates. We also created the very first durian chocolate in Asia.

Where We Are Today

Today, Benns Chocolate Factory is sharing the unique flavours of Malaysian chocolate with the world. We have grown into an established exporter, with our chocolates now enjoyed in various different countries.

As we continue to grow, our focus remains the same. We are committed to making good chocolate while doing our part to support local farmers.
